ICAHN, in partnership with Laerdal Medical and McDonough District Hospital, is offering an immersive, scenario-based simulation focused on Precipitous Breech Delivery in the Emergency Department and Neonatal Assessment and Stabilization—rare but high-risk events that demand rapid clinical judgment, coordinated teamwork, and confident intervention. This hands-on training is designed to strengthen provider confidence, technical skills, and team communication, particularly in rural and low-volume settings where these events may be infrequent but high acuity. What You’ll Gain Practice management of precipitous breech delivery in the ED setting Strengthen neonatal assessment and stabilization skills immediately following delivery Enhance team communication and role clarity during obstetric emergencies Learn alongside Laerdal simulation experts using high-fidelity equipment Who Should Attend Emergency Department staff OB and Med-Surg nurses Providers and clinical team members involved in delivery or newborn care.
